OM LOG (ASIA) LTD. - General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and control all logistics activities to ensure agreed customer service levels, operational efficiency and profitability. Reports to the Managing Director.
To achieve these goals, the resource person, based in Hong Kong, will coordinate the Hong Kong Logistic Hub Distribution Center, but will also oversee the Shanghai Logistics Hub, and future developments in the Asian Region.
Key Activities
Marketing
- Promote the company services and manage Tender in cooperation with Managing Director.
Operations
- Contributes to the development of the operational strategy and participates in the definition of strategic development measures with logistics director teams and Managing Director
- Responsible for medium/long-term planning to be agreed from Managing Director and HQ.
- Responsible in cooperation with Logistics Director to monitoring and evaluating productivity, reviewing operation KPIs and proper use of tools and equipment to ensure best efficiency in the global process;
- Responsible for monitoring labor costs and participating in the planning and organization of shifts;
- In cooperation with Logistics and Operation managers monitor inbound and outbound operations according to daily tasks;
- Interfaces with IT department for all new project and updates;
- Interact with key customers in regular meetings to analyze problems and propose solutions;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Innovation and Improvement
- Responsible for the implementation of innovation projects shared with the Logistics team and Managing Director
- Develops specific analysis and proposes improvement actions to Logistics Team and Managing Director;
- Shares efficiency and operational process improvement strategies with Logistics Team;

- Leads, motivates and manages operations and customer service teams.;

- Promotes accuracy, fairness and completeness in the exchange of information within and outside the company;
- Create a positive and motivating environment for all employees.
Organization/Business Processes
- Develops budgets in collaboration with managers and is responsible for submitting them to the Managing Director;
- Understands the Warehouse Management System and its rationale;
- Understands internal/external KPIs;
- Verifies that SOPs are created and updated.

Preferred experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Logistics or Industrial Engineering;
- Proven experience (10-15 years) in the logistics industry, preferably in the fashion industry;
- Good knowledge of Italian language, English language, and local language
