SPEDIPORTO is one of the most dynamic associations of Italian companies in the shipping and freight forwarding sector. 30% of Italian companies, and 90% of those present in Liguria, belong to it, making Spediporto, founded in 1946, a point of reference for shipping at a national level. This is also due to its competence and organizational abilities. Spediporto's more than 600 members (with 12,500 employees) are Italian and foreign companies operating in the maritime, land, and air freight forwarding and transportation sectors; small, medium, and large.
Spediporto operates in Genoa, Italy's largest port in terms of traffic and size, covering 500 hectares of land and an equal amount of water. At the heart of its activities in recent years have been the computerization of port logistics, the digitalization of documentation to support operational practices, the creation of information and telematic services and operational accreditation at terminals, high-level training as well as support for the increasingly important internationalization of companies.
With the goal of supporting its associates by offering them the best of services, over the years Spediporto has established a major network of companies that operate in its main sectors of reference. Through its subsidiaries – Spediservices srl, Consorzio Servizi Portuali (CSP), VGM Srl, Hub Telematica srl, PORT QUARANTINE SERVICES (PQS), GOAS and SpediFORM– Spediporto ensures an adequate and prompt esponse to development needs in the logistics, transport, and shipping/freight forwarding sectors.
Spediporto is also part of CONFETRA, FEDESPEDI, and FEDIT at a national level, and participates at international level in FIATA and CLECAT, the most important organizations in the sector. Spediporto is the undisputed point of reference for local operators, communicating and collaborating with the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, and the Customs Agency.
