Sapientia Foundation is a non-profit organisation in Hong Kong whose objects are the advancement of education and the promotion of cultural exchanges.
In 2019, Sapientia Foundation (former Sapientia (H.K.) Limited) established the Italian International Nursery and Kindergarten, www.iikg.edu.hk, the first Italian School in Hong Kong. The school premises are owned by the Founders and are located in South Horizons, Ap Lei Chau, Hong Kong. Registered with the Education Bureau, the School is a nonprofit making body. The School has two streams, Italian-English with Chinese (Mandarin) and English-Chinese (Mandarin) with Italian and welcomes children from all nationalities for half-day/whole-day classes, extra-curricular activities and playgroups.
Sapientia Foundation is now focusing on the establishment of its small-sized private museum, which is expected to open in mid to late 2024 in Hong Kong. The premises, which are owned by the Founders and located in Wong Chuk Hang, will include a cafeteria and a space for the educational and public programmes. The concept is to integrate permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programmes, and leisure life. In terms of artworks, the Sapientia Collection include porcelain, silverware, carpets, textile, painting, calligraphy, furniture, jewellery etc.
