Breakfast Talk | The Greater Bay Area: Big Opportunity, Complex Reality

  • The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao 299 Queen's Road Central Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island Hong Kong (map)

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao is delighted to present Breakfast Talk | The Greater Bay Area: Big Opportunity, Complex Reality, a practical insights on market entry, structures and incentives.

Join us on Thursday, October 29, from 9 am to 10 am at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao Office.

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) is one of China’s most promising markets: 86 million people, major economic centres, established supply chains and a growing number of government incentives designed to attract international businesses.

But turning the GBA opportunity into a real business opportunity is not always straightforward.

For entrepreneurs based in Hong Kong, the questions quickly become more practical: Where are the relevant markets and industrial clusters? Which cities and development zones actually matter for my sector? Can I enter from Hong Kong, or do I need a Mainland China entity? And those attractive tax incentives and government subsidies – how accessible are they in practice?

Join us for a practical breakfast panel talk on what it really takes to do business in the Greater Bay Area. We will look beyond the headline figures and explore the market from an entrepreneur’s perspective, combining an overview of the region with practical experience of market entry, company structures and incentives.

The panel will cover:

  • Where is the opportunity? An overview of the GBA’s key cities, industrial parks, supply chains, major players and sector-specific opportunities.

  • How can you enter from Hong Kong? An overview of common market-entry structures, incentives available, when a Mainland China entity may be required, and practical lessons from businesses expanding into the GBA.

  • What about the incentives? An overview of relevant government funding, tax measures, and business support initiatives – and the practical challenges businesses can face when applying.

Speakers

  • Franco Fornari, Managing Partner & Chairman of the Board, Fidinam Guangzhou

  • Sara Silenzi, Managing Partner, Fidinam Hong Kong

  • Francesco Antonazzo, Italian Desk Officer, Fidinam Hong Kong

Whether you are already operating in mainland China or considering the GBA as your next market, this session will provide a more grounded view of the opportunities, requirements and practical considerations involved.

Seats are limited.
