The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao is pleased to host “Overview of the new Double Tax Agreement between China & Italy and EU VAT & Custom in E-Commerce” on Thursday, October 24th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at our office.

This breakfast talk will explore the evolving landscape of e-commerce and taxation in Europe. As companies increasingly aim for global expansion, understanding e-commerce regulations is essential for success in the European market.

Deloitte's European VAT expert, Eleonora Musiari, will cover key topics, including:

  • Introduction to EU VAT e-commerce rules

  • Potential e-commerce reform on EU VAT and Customs

  • Major VAT & Customs considerations when setting up a trading or manufacturing company in EU

Additionally, Olderigo Fantacci, Internatonal Tax and M&A Partner at Deloitte AP ICE, will discuss the E-commerce Easy BUD, a Hong Kong Government incentive designed to support e-commerce activities for businesses. The new China-Italy double taxation agreement will also be discussed, highlighting its implications for companies.
